[Tool Review] – Action Method for iPad – Task Management on the Go

As iPad saturates the IT development environment more and more users are wanting iPad support for their favorite task management tools. We know that Pivotal Tracker has iPhone support, and a tool we reviewed before is specific for the iPhone (Scrum2Go Review), but how about the iPad?

At my current client, at least 5 developers have iPads and use them regularly. Should tool developers be looking towards mobile and tablets? Absolutely.

Enter: Action Method Powerful Mobile Task Management

We like this because it’s just so darn beautiful to look at. Development for the iPad has shown people that you can make beautiful aesthetic apps that don’t lose functionality over form. Action Method makes task management look good.

From creating, delegating, and managing projects, Action Method works with ease. You can share notes, files, links with clients and other people.

Manage your backburner items, discussion items, and events. This task management tool is a winner. You even have notifications and and email-like system to keep all your work together.

So the real question is: “Is this something that my team could use? Or is this more for the freelancer with multiple clients?”

We’re not too sure that you could scale this for enterprise use, but it certainly could work for a new startup where part of your sign-up bonus is receiving an iPad (if you’re lucky).

At $1.99, the price is really not that bad. For what it’s worth, it may just be a task management application just right for your many (freelance) clients.

  1. It looks really great, I’ve been looking for neat project management app and It is.
A few days ago, i stumbled upon Beesy an iPad To-Do and note taking app http://www.beesapps.com/beesy-ipad-to-do that integrated notes from meeting in a smart To-Do organizer. Really efficient for those of us of have lots of meeting as it generates tasks in your to-do directly from your notes.
they currently lack of iPhone sync at the moment but the devs at http://www.beesapps.com said they’re on it for a future release.
nice as well to be more efficient at work.
